Levy Brown Ed.D. has an extensive work experience in the community college sector. Starting from 2014, Levy worked as the Dean of Arts and Sciences at Lenoir Community College, overseeing college/university transfer academic programs as well as BLET and Dev. Ed. In 2017, Levy moved to Vance-Granville Community College, where they held multiple roles including Vice President of Student Services, Vice President of Academic Affairs, and Vice President of Learning, Student Engagement & Success. In 2022, Levy joined the North Carolina Community College System as the Senior Vice President and Chief Academic Officer. Currently, Levy holds the position of Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs at Connecticut State Community College. They have also recently served as the Provost - VP of Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Workforce Innovations at the same institution.

Levy Brown Ed.D. holds a Masters degree in Library Science from North Carolina Central University. They also have a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from East Carolina University, and a Bachelor of Science in Communication and Media Studies from the same institution. In addition, Levy has obtained certifications in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in 2021, and in SACSCOC Evaluation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) in 2018.
