Simon Bernier St-Pierre

Simon Bernier St-Pierre has a diverse work experience in the field of software development. Simon most recently worked as a Senior Back-End Developer at Connektica since March 2023. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Software Engineer at SUSE from November 2022 to March 2023.

Simon also worked at nesto, where they held various roles. Simon started as a Software Programmer in May 2021 and transitioned to a Back-End Developer. From February 2022 to June 2022, they briefly served as an Engineering Team Lead, and from June 2022 to October 2022, they were a Staff Backend Developer.

Before nesto, Simon gained valuable experience at Ubisoft Montréal as an IT Developer from July 2019 to May 2021. In this role, they managed database systems built on top of Kubernetes, utilized systems programming with Go and Python, worked with APIs and Microservices, and demonstrated expertise in a range of technologies like relational and NoSQL databases, containerization, infrastructure as code, and various cloud providers.

Simon's earlier experience includes working as a Full-stack Developer at Trendays from May 2018 to July 2019 and as a Software Programmer at Systèmes Informatiques Unik Inc. from January 2014 to August 2014.

Simon Bernier St-Pierre earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Université de Montréal from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that, from 2011 to 2014, they pursued their DEC in Computer Science at Collège Montmorency. In addition to their formal education, Simon obtained a certification as a Triplebyte Certified Generalist Engineer from Triplebyte in April 2021.
