Laurence E.

Laurence E. has extensive experience in the fields of economics and real estate. Currently serving as a Board Member at Tri-Star Arts since August 2022, Laurence has also worked as a Real Estate Broker at Connell Properties Inc. since October 2018, assisting clients across East Tennessee in various real estate transactions. From April 2009 to August 2018, Laurence was an Economist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, focusing on the economic and environmental assessments of bioenergy production. Additionally, Laurence held a contract position as a Research Economist with the U.S. Department of Energy in 2015, providing support on biomass supply solutions for the bioeconomy. Laurence has also contributed to academia as an Adjunct Lecturer in Economics at Pellissippi State Community College and Carson-Newman University in 2009, and as a Project Coordinator at Washington and Lee University from 2005 to 2007. Laurence holds an MA in Economics from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a BA in Economics and Environmental Studies from Washington and Lee University.
