Jonathan "J.R." Cohen

Jonathan "J.R." Cohen has a varied work experience, starting in 2006 with BoConcept where they worked on build-outs, sales training, and other tasks. In 2007, they became the General Manager and Community Activist at Coffee Groundz, a coffee shop known for its use of social media and active community involvement. From 2010 to 2012, they worked in sales at YMKM Agency, a marketing agency that focuses on driving growth for B2B companies using strategic online marketing techniques. Later in 2012, they joined The Interface Financial Group as a Principal, providing alternative funding options for small businesses. In 2014, they joined Conner Industries, Inc. as a Business Development Specialist, working with strategic accounts in the HVAC, chemical, and manufacturing industries. Throughout their career, Cohen has demonstrated a passion for sustainability and helping small businesses thrive.

Jonathan "J.R." Cohen attended the University of Houston-Downtown from 1997 to 2001, where they studied International Business and Spanish. After completing their undergraduate studies, they then enrolled in The Art Institutes from 2001 to 2004, focusing on Culinary studies. In 2015, they obtained a certification in Structural Lumber Grading 101 from Renewable Energy Resource Associates, LLC.
