Rene van der Meij

Rene van der Meij has extensive experience in public transportation and logistics, having worked at Connexxion since July 1988 in various roles, including Assistent Rayon Manager Logistiek for both Haarlem AML and Schiphol Noord, where responsibilities included managing bus operations and handling damages and maintenance for respective facilities. Prior to this, Rene served as a Medewerker ROV, monitoring and supporting public transport processes, and began as a Buschauffeur on the OV lines in Haarlem. Earlier career experience includes working as a dienstplichtig soldaat in logistics for Koninklijke Luchtmacht and as a leerling elektriciën at Elsinga, where Rene gained skills in electrical installations. Educational background includes training in bedrijfshulpverlening and several technical programs from local schools.
