Domingo Guarenas has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Domingo started their career in 1999 as a Programmer Analyst at DISK SOPORTES S.R.L., where they developed applications for insurance companies in Venezuela and provided IT and Technical Support. In 2002, they joined the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV International) as a Systems Analyst, responsible for analysis, development, and maintenance of desktop and web-based applications. Domingo also served as a Database Administrator, managing data related to international students, and worked on Business Intelligence projects. In 2005, they became a Senior PowerZone Baseball Instructor at PowerZone Academy, where they shared their expertise in baseball. In 2006, they became a Co-Owner of IETech International, focusing on software development, helpdesk and technical support, and content management technologies for educational environments and business automation. In 2009, they joined NAFSA: Association of International Educators as a Technology SIG Member. Lastly, since 2014, they have been working at Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group (CC&L), initially as an Operations Group Lead/Systems Analyst and currently as a Manager.

Domingo Guarenas began their education in 1998 at Universidad Nueva Esparta, where they studied Computer Science for two years. Domingo then attended the University of the Fraser Valley from 2000 to 2004, obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems. Returning to the University of the Fraser Valley in 2012, Domingo pursued a Data Analysis Graduate Program, specializing in Data Modeling, Warehousing, and Database Administration.
