Mihaela Beschea

Mihaela Beschea has a diverse and extensive work experience. Mihaela currently holds the position of Senior Manager Institutional Portfolio Operations at Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group (CC&L) since February 2023.

Prior to their current role, Mihaela worked for HSBC for a significant part of their career. Mihaela served as the Head of Cash, Cheque and Customer Correspondence Operations and Transformation, where they led a team of 65 staff across Canada and managed an annual budget of $25M. Their responsibilities included overseeing national and global deposit clearing, digital and paper customer correspondence for 1.5 million customers across 140 branches and 21 bank suppliers. Mihaela held this position from May 2018 to April 2022.

Before their role in operations and transformation, Mihaela was a Senior Programme and Portfolio Manager for Global Programmes at HSBC. During this time, they built a $30M portfolio of programmes and projects and ensured their successful implementation from initiation to closure. Mihaela also facilitated alignment between business plans and resource, technology, and funding capability. Mihaela served in this role from July 2013 to May 2018.

Mihaela also held positions in product management, project management, data analytics, and operations design and development during their tenure at HSBC. Mihaela was Assistant Vice President of Product Management and Head of Deposit Products from January 2011 to July 2013, Assistant Vice President of Project Management - Digital Channels & Global Business Delivery from October 2007 to January 2011, Senior Manager of Data Analytics from August 2006 to October 2007, and Senior Manager of Operations Design and Development from April 2003 to August 2006.

Mihaela Beschea's education history includes:

From 1990 to 1995, they attended Universitatea Tehnică de Construcții București and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.

In 2000 to 2001, they attended Simon Fraser University and studied Business Administration and Management, General, although they did not complete a degree in this field.
