Richard Kwan has a diverse work experience that spans over 20 years. Richard began their career in 1997 as a Technology Consultant for various companies before joining Jack Morton Worldwide as a Software Engineer in 1998. After that, they worked at Cahoots.com as a Website Programmer before joining Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group in 2001 as a Team Lead. During their time at CC&L, Richard was recognized by Advent for their implementation of automation and efficiency, and their trading and back office implementation was recognized by Canada Pension Plan in 2004. Richard then moved on to RBC Global Asset Management in 2006, where they served as a Team Lead and was responsible for website, reporting, reconciliations, and other back office processes. Finally, Richard returned to Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group in 2008 as a Software Engineer, where they deployed on various projects for process automation, application integration, application infrastructure, and development operations. Richard has experience with a wide range of technologies, including Javascript/React/Angular, C#, PowerShell, SQL, SSRS, Java, Advent APX/replang, Coric reporting, MS Office automation, DotNetNuke, and Oracle.
Richard Kwan has a strong educational background. Richard first attended The University of British Columbia from 1989 to 1994, where they completed their Bachelor's degree. In 1995, they pursued further education at the British Columbia Institute of Technology and obtained a Diploma of Technology in Computer Science. Later, from 2002 to 2006, Richard attended the British Columbia Institute of Technology again and completed coursework for a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree. Additionally, they obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services in May 2018.
