Julien Marchand

Julien Marchand is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in blockchain technology and data science. Currently serving as the Head of Engineering for the Linea zkEVM project at ConsenSys, Julien oversees the development of a layer 2 ZK-Rollup that enhances Ethereum's developer experience and security. Prior roles at ConsenSys included Engineering Manager focused on enterprise blockchain solutions and Tech Lead & Architect responsible for delivering innovative applications. Julien's earlier career includes significant positions at EY as Tech Lead, where expertise in machine learning and application development was applied, along with consultancy roles in data science at Bluestone and Keople, and development internships at SAP and Sendsteps. Educational background includes a Master of Engineering in Mathematics and Computer Science from IMT Atlantique.
