Conservation International
Christian Lavoie serves as the Director of Program Delivery for the Americas Field Division - Oceans at Conservation International, a role held since July 2007. In this capacity, Christian leads the implementation of the Americas Oceans program strategies, focusing on development, monitoring, evaluation, and technical support at both regional and national scales. Previous positions include Senior Manager of the Eastern Tropical Pacific Seascape program, overseeing marine conservation initiatives in Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, and Ecuador, and Manager of the Field Programs Division, providing support to institutional strategies across South America, Africa, and Asia. Prior experience includes working as a Geographic Information System Specialist for the UNDP, where Christian assessed GIS needs for significant eradication campaigns. Christian holds a Master's degree and a Bachelor's degree in Geography, as well as a Graduate Studies Diploma in Geographic Information System, all from Université du Québec à Montréal.
