Conservation International
Lidiane Castro currently serves as the Senior Manager for the DGM Global Learning and Knowledge Exchange Project at Conservation International, having previously held the role of Manager for the same project. This initiative, funded by the CIF and implemented by the World Bank, emphasizes equitable partnerships with Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities to promote climate action. Prior to this, Lidiane held various positions at West Virginia University, including Program Coordinator at the Center for Community Engagement and Project Coordinator at the Center for Service and Learning. Additionally, Lidiane served as a Collaborative Honors College Community Engagement Specialist VISTA with AmeriCorps, a Graduate Research Assistant on projects aimed at sustainable tourism in the Brazilian Amazon, and held teaching roles at Universidade Federal Do Oeste Do Para and Universidade Federal do Pará. Lidiane holds a Master’s Degree in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism from West Virginia University and a Licentiate degree in Portuguese Language and Literature from Universidade Federal do Pará.
