David Solomon

David Solomon is an experienced Policy Advisor currently working at Consilient, focusing on developing a policy framework for intergovernmental financial relations in Somalia. Solomon has a robust background in public finance and local revenue strategies, previously holding positions as a Revenue Advisor at Adam Smith International, where involvement in a DfID and EU funded project supported Federal Member States in Somalia. Other significant roles include Local Revenue Advisor for UN-Habitat, Consultant Specialist for The World Bank, and various advisory positions with organizations such as Deloitte and the International Development Law Organization. With a strong academic foundation, Solomon served as a Professor of Economics at the University of the Witwatersrand for over two decades, specializing in Public Finance and Urban Economics, after earning a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Cape Town.
