Richard Amanpene-Sekyere has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Richard has held various roles in different companies and organizations.

Starting with their most recent experience, Richard worked at Consolidated Bank Ghana as the Head of Digital Products & Partnerships. In this role, they were responsible for developing and implementing digital channel strategies and expanding the bank's geographic reach through self-service banking technologies/products and services.

Prior to that, they worked as the Head of Transaction Services at Consolidated Bank Ghana, where they oversaw units such as Domestic Operations, Treasury Operations, Credit Operations, and Account Maintenance. Richard'sresponsibilities included designing workflow and administrative procedures, implementing operations service standards, and monitoring performance and customer complaints handling.

Richard also served as a Lecturer in Strategic Marketing Management at CIB EXPRESS and as a Faculty Member in Banking Operations at the National Banking College-Ghana.

Richard gained extensive experience in operations, treasury, retail, SME, and consumer finance roles at uniBank Ghana Ltd. During their time there, they held positions such as Head of Operations, Head of Treasury and Trade Operations, Head of Retail, Head of SME, and Head of Consumer Finance.

Richard's earlier experiences include working as the Head of Consumer Credit at Fidelity Bank Gh Ltd, where they developed and implemented credit policies, managed delinquency areas, and optimized cost-effective recovery of non-performing loans. Richard also worked at Standard Chartered Bank Gh. Ltd as the Head of Collections & Recoveries and as the Credit Approvals Manager for SME Credit.

Before that, Richard held the position of Assistant Credit Manager at First Allied Savings and Loan Co and served as the Accra Branch Manager at Sinapi Aba Trust.

Overall, Richard Amanpene-Sekyere has a strong background in banking operations, credit management, digital channels, and customer service. Richard has demonstrated leadership skills and expertise in developing strategies and implementing operational improvements.

Richard Amanpene-Sekyere has a diverse education history. Richard completed their Ph.D. in International Business/Trade/Commerce from Southern New Hampshire University in the years 2022-2026. Prior to that, they obtained an ACI Operations Certificate from the Financial Markets Association in 2018. In 2015, they earned a Certified Retail Banker certification from The Retail Banking Academy®. Between 2003 and 2009, Richard pursued their ACIB-Final degree in Chartered Banker from the Association of Chartered Institute of Bankers (ACIB). Richard holds an MPhil in Political Science (Public Administration Option) from the University of Ghana, Legon, which they achieved in the years 2000-2003. Lastly, they obtained their B.A Hons in Political Science with a major in Public Administration from the University of Ghana, Legon in the years 1996-2000. Additionally, Richard has obtained several certifications including Leading Money Markets, Understanding Tech in Business, and Certificate in Digital Money, from the Digital Frontiers Institute in various years.
