Jike Cui

Director of Computational Biology at Constellation Pharmaceuticals

Jike Cui has an extensive work experience in the field of computational biology and bioinformatics. They have held various positions in different companies, starting with their most recent role as the Director of Computational Biology at Constellation Pharmaceuticals since February 2020. Prior to that, Jike worked as a Contracted Statistician V at Sanofi from May 2018 to February 2020.

From November 2017 to April 2018, Jike worked as a Computational Biologist and Statistician for multiple pharmaceutical clients. In this role, they built pipelines for data processing and analysis in LC-MS/MS lipidomics and metabolomics, conducted statistical analysis on clinical and NGS data using R and python, and improved the source code of an AI platform for biomarker discovery.

Before that, Jike was a Senior Principal Data Scientist at Oracle from June 2017 to October 2017, where they focused on tumor NGS data analysis and developed a Spark-based high-performance cancer NGS pipeline.

From October 2015 to June 2017, Jike worked as a Principal Bioinformatician at WuXi NextCODE, where they developed machine learning models for predicting variant pathogenicity and cancer subtypes, as well as NGS pipeline development and implementation in the cloud.

Jike also has experience working as a Contracted Scientist at Genzyme Sanofi Corporation from November 2012 to September 2015. In this role, they led data analysis for a whole exome sequencing GWAS project, developed pipelines for RNA/DNA sequencing data processing, and created methods for pathway analysis and gene prediction.

Prior to that, Jike worked as a Contracted Scientist at Millennium: The Takeda Oncology Company from October 2011 to November 2012. Here, they conducted data analysis on microarray gene expression, played a key role in developing a statistical model for predicting drug response in cancer cell lines, and contributed to the development of tranSMART, an open-source platform for loading cancer studies.

Jike's earlier experience includes working as a Research Associate at Harvard Medical School from June 2009 to May 2011, where they designed algorithms for studying protein interaction networks and built a database of orthologous genes across multiple genomes.

Overall, Jike Cui has a strong background in computational biology and bioinformatics, with experience in data analysis, algorithm development, pipeline construction, and machine learning model development.

Jike Cui pursued a Ph.D in Bioinformatics from 2004 to 2009 at Boston University.
