Jolyon Holdstock has extensive work experience in the field of computational biology and scientific software development. Jolyon started their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Cambridge in 1994 and then worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at King's College London from 1995 to 2000. Jolyon joined Oxagen in 2000 as a Senior Computational Biologist and worked there until 2003. Jolyon then worked as a Consultant Scientific Software Developer at Syngenta in 2003. In 2004, Jolyon joined Oxford Gene Technology as a Scientific Software Developer and later served as a Senior Computational Biologist from 2006 to 2013. Jolyon became the Head of Design and Data Analysis in 2013 and then held the role of Head of NGS for a brief period in 2015. Currently, they are the Director of Computational Biology at Oxford Gene Technology.
Jolyon Holdstock completed their education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Physiology from the University of Southampton in 1990. Jolyon went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Molecular Endocrinology at the University of Sussex from 1990 to 1991. Continuing their academic journey, they obtained a PhD in Intracellular Signalling from the University of London, which they completed in the years 1991 to 1994.
