Piotr Kalinowski

Technical Project Lead at Constellium

Piotr Kalinowski has a diverse work experience in the metallurgy industry. Piotr currently works at Constellium as a Technical Project Lead, where they manage a project focused on maximizing the use of post-consumer scrap in high strength aluminum alloys. Piotr also supports the development of a zero-emission vehicles supply chain. Prior to this, Piotr worked as a Metallurgist - Technical Support at Aluminium Bahrain, where they provided technical assistance. Piotr also worked at Constellium as an OPEX Process Metallurgist, focusing on the qualification and support of aluminum extrusion alloys and products. Piotr has experience in steel as well, having worked at Tata Steel as a Senior R&D Metallurgist, where they conducted industrial data analysis and developed more efficient product development methods. Piotr also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham, where they researched the hot working behavior of power generation steel and analyzed data. Additionally, Piotr has teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Birmingham and has completed internships at TU Bergakademie Freiberg and ArcelorMittal.

Piotr Kalinowski completed their Bachelor of Engineering in Metallurgical Engineering at AGH University of Krakow from 2007 to 2011. Piotr then pursued their Master of Science in Metallurgical Engineering at the same university from 2011 to 2012. Afterwards, Piotr attended the University of Birmingham from 2012 to 2016, where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy in Metallurgy & Materials.
