Roderick Carbonell

Roderick Carbonell, BSN, MHA has a diverse work experience that spans over several decades. Roderick most recently served as the Chief Development Officer at Constitution Surgery Alliance LLC since May 2023. Before that, Roderick took a sabbatical from 2022 to 2023, during which they co-founded a non-profit organization, completed consulting projects, served on a local NPO board, and participated in various personal and professional endeavors.

Prior to their sabbatical, Roderick held leadership roles at ValueHealth LLC as the President of Hyper-Specialty Surgical Centers and at Muve Health as the President. In these positions, they played instrumental roles in implementing innovative strategies to shift high-acuity surgeries from hospitals to ambulatory surgery centers, while also introducing value-based care programs.

Before their tenure at ValueHealth LLC and Muve Health, Roderick worked at HCA Physician Services Group as the Vice President of Physician Services for the Central & West Texas Division. Roderick was responsible for the development and execution of the physician employment, acquisition, and practice operations business strategy. Additionally, they served as the Assistant Vice President for the MidAmerica Division and as an Administrator within the same organization.

Earlier in their career, Roderick held the position of Director of Quality & Risk Management at HCA Healthcare, where they led performance improvement and risk mitigation strategies. Roderick also worked as a Regional Administrator at ValueHealth LLC, overseeing the operational management of multiple physician joint venture ASCs.

Roderick's experience extends beyond the healthcare industry as well. Roderick worked at Western Baptist Hospital as the Operations Manager of the Emergency Department and as an Adjunct Professor at West Kentucky Community and Technical College.

One of Roderick's earlier accomplishments was serving as the Administrator/Clinical Director at Physicians Health Resources: North Colorado Surgery Center, where they provided administrative and clinical leadership for a multi-specialty ambulatory surgical center.

Throughout their career, Roderick has consistently demonstrated a strong ability to lead and innovate within the healthcare industry.

Roderick Carbonell obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Berea College, completing their studies from 1993 to 1997. Roderick further pursued a Master's Degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Bellevue University. Carbonell also holds additional certifications as an Endurance and Running Coach from UESCA and as a Registered Nurse from the Missouri division of professional registration.
