Joseba Murua has a diverse work experience starting from 2005. Joseba worked as a Structural Engineer at IDOM from September 2005 to December 2005. Joseba then moved on to work as a Research Engineer at CAF from January 2006 to August 2007. After that, they joined the University of Surrey as a Lecturer in Aerospace Engineering from July 2012 to January 2015. Following this, they worked at Pilatus Aircraft Ltd as an Aerodynamics Simulation Specialist from January 2015 to February 2017. Joseba also worked as a Flight Physics Modelling & Simulation consultant from February 2017 to July 2017. Currently, they hold positions at CAF, where they initially started as an R&D Dynamics Engineer in February 2017 and later became the Head of Dynamics & Rolling in the R&D Department in November 2020.
Joseba Murua has a strong educational background in aerospace and mechanical engineering. Joseba obtained their MEng degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Navarra in 2005. Joseba then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering from Imperial College London, which they completed in 2008. In 2009, they enrolled in a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in the same field at Imperial College London, earning their PhD in 2012. In 2011, they also had a brief stint as a visiting scholar at the University of Michigan, furthering their expertise in aerospace engineering. Additionally, Joseba has obtained a certification in "Mechanical Behavior of Materials: Time Dependent Behavior and Failure" from MITx on edX.
