Head Of Learning at Construct Education

Liesel Slingers has a wealth of work experience, starting with their time at Absa Bank, where they held various roles from 1997 to 2006. Liesel then moved on to work at Milpark Business School, where they served as a Programme Manager from 2007 to 2010 and later as a Client Relationship Manager from 2010 to 2011. Liesel also worked as an Independent Contractor and Project Coordinator during their time at Milpark Business School.

In 2011, Liesel began working as a Freelance Lecturer at the Production Management Institute of SA before joining The Training Room Online in 2013 as a Learning Specialist. Liesel then worked as a Mentor at the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation from 2013 to 2015.

From 2012 to 2017, Liesel owned and operated Flouriche Bakery. In 2016, they worked at The Training Room Online as the Head of Proposals and briefly as the Head of Skills Development.

In 2018, Liesel joined Lobster Ink as a QA Manager and later became a Lead Instructional Designer from 2019 to 2019. Liesel'smost recent role was at Construct, where they served as a Learning Strategist from 2019 to 2020 and is currently the Head of Learning.

Liesel Slingers has a diverse education history. Liesel obtained a Diploma in Marketing from Damelin School of Banking in 1999. In the following year, they pursued an Advanced Diploma in Marketing from the same institution. Continuing their education in the banking field, Liesel completed an Advanced Diploma in Property Finance from Damelin School of Banking in 2001.

Liesel later attended Damelin School of Banking and Insurance from 2004 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Banking Management. In 2009, Liesel enrolled at the Assessment College of SA, earning a Certificate in Assessorship. During the same year, they also attended Milpark Business School, completing their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General in 2011.

Furthermore, in 2010, they undertook a short course at the Assessment College of South Africa, acquiring a Certificate in Moderation. Throughout their educational journey, Liesel has consistently demonstrated a commitment to learning and a wide-ranging interest in business, marketing, banking, and assessment.
