Scott Ayers P.e.

Scott Ayers, P.E. serves as the Fire Program Manager at the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission since February 2010, leading initiatives to mitigate risks related to fire, electrocution, and carbon monoxide. Prior experience includes significant roles at Hamilton Sundstrand, where Scott was the Lead Firex Engineer and a Systems Engineer, focusing on fire protection systems in commercial aviation. Earlier positions encompassed senior product development at Tyco Safety Products and engineering roles contracted to the Naval Research Laboratory. Scott holds a Master of Science in Fire Protection Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, along with experience in research and laboratory management during academic tenure.
