Laxmidhar Sahoo started their work experience in 2004 as a Data Integration Architect at Infosys. In this role, they were responsible for integrating multiple business critical applications and providing data integration solutions. Laxmidhar worked with various tools and technologies such as Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica PowerExchange, and SAP BODS. Laxmidhar also performed infrastructure upgrades for Informatica PowerCenter 10.
In 2013, Laxmidhar Sahoo became a Senior Data & Analytics (Solution) Architect at Avon Products Inc. Laxmidhar was responsible for feasibility studies, architectural blueprints, and end-to-end design for BI projects. Laxmidhar also worked on new DW/BI and Big Data proposals and built prototypes for new ideas. Additionally, they built end-to-end Big data and analytics solutions using the Microsoft Azure iPass services.
From 2010 to 2012, Laxmidhar Sahoo worked as a Data Architect/ETL Architect at Neptune Orient Lines (NOL). Laxmidhar demonstrated strong analytical skills and excellent knowledge of the full project life cycle.
Prior to that, they held roles as a Lead Technology Consultant at Apple Inc. and PetSmart, and as a Project Lead at ABN Amro/Bank of America.
Currently, Laxmidhar Sahoo is serving as an Associate Director, Technology (Cloud & Data Engineering) at Consumer Reports. In this role, they are responsible for building and managing a centralized Data Platform using Snowflake cloud databases, Appian, and AWS services for consumer product data. Laxmidhar also provides innovative solutions to meet different data needs and manages a team for daily operations and continuous improvement.
Laxmidhar Sahoo completed a Post Graduation Program in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at The University of Texas at Austin from 2019 to 2020. Prior to that, they attended The Wharton School from 2018 to 2019 and obtained a degree in Business Analytics. Laxmidhar also holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electrical Engineering Technologies/Technicians from the College of Engineering and Technology, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. In their earlier years, they completed their Intermediate in Science with a focus on Physics at Stewart Science College in Cuttack, Orissa, India from 1997 to 1999.
Additionally, Laxmidhar has obtained certifications in Informatica PowerCenter from Informatica in December 2010, Teradata in June 2009, and Netezza in May 2009.
