Shawn Premer, SPHR has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Starting in 1993, Shawn worked as a Placement Specialist at EmploymentGroup for four years. Later, from 2000 to 2003, they were a Branch Manager at Adecco. In 2003, they joined Titan Plastics Group as a Human Resources Manager, where they managed all HR functions for a 150-employee manufacturing facility. Shawn then moved to Rehmann in 2005, where they served as the Director of Human Resources, responsible for employee relations, policy development, leadership programs, and compensation management. Following this, in 2011, they joined Consumers Credit Union as the Chief Human Resources Officer. Concurrently, from 2011 to 2014, Shawn worked as an Adjunct Professor in the Business Department at Lansing Community College, teaching courses on Time and Stress Management. In 2012, they also became an Adjunct Faculty member at Northwood University, focusing on adult degree programs, a role they held until 2017. Throughout their professional career, Shawn has developed expertise in various HR functions, leadership development, and teaching.

Shawn Premer, SPHR, has a strong educational background in business and management. In 2008, they completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Management from Northwood University. Following this, in 2010, they obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Global Business Studies from Cornerstone University. Prior to their university education, Shawn Premer attended Parkway High School. In addition to their formal education, they have earned certifications to enhance their professional qualifications. In 2007, they achieved the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) Certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI, and in 2014, they obtained the SHRM - SCP certification from SHRM.
