Michael Martin

Michael Martin, MBA, is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as Engineering Manager at Consumers Energy since April 2021. In this role, Michael oversees project engineers for both capital improvement and rehabilitation projects related to gas storage process facilities, as well as field engineers collaborating with operations staff for maintenance and emergent work. Previously, as Lead Project Engineer at Consumers Energy, Michael executed a major project for the retirement of a natural gas storage reservoir in Missaukee County, Michigan. Prior to this, Michael was a Project Manager at Energy Transfer, managing various capital projects for DOT liquid pipeline facilities, and held roles as Project Engineer and Distribution Engineer at DTE Energy, focusing on natural gas infrastructure. Michael's early experience includes an internship at Abbott Laboratories. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA in Finance from Wayne State University.
