Vanessa Moodabe-Smith

Vanessa Moodabe-Smith is an experienced engineer currently serving as the SF Commissioning Lead/Engineer at Contact Energy Ltd since July 2020, focusing on major projects including the Te Huka 3 brownfield steamfield development. Previous roles include positions in various teams related to geothermal engineering, optimization, and reliability at Contact Energy from 2020 to 2024. Prior to this, Vanessa worked as a Field Engineer and Operations Coordinator at ExxonMobil, and also held positions as a Process Engineer Intern at Nalco Water and Chemcolour Industries. Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Chemical and Processing Engineering from the University of Canterbury and has furthered education through TÜV Rheinland and The University of Auckland.
