Georgios Patias

Georgios Patias is an accomplished Senior Product Chemist & Analytical Lead at Contamac Ltd since August 2022, overseeing material testing and ensuring compliance with FDA, ISO, NMPA, and MDR regulations. Previously, Georgios was a Research Fellow at the University of Warwick, contributing to a £4.8M project aimed at promoting sustainability in chemicals and polymer manufacturing. As a Synthetic Organic Chemist at AbFero Pharmaceuticals, Georgios focused on innovative research for diseases related to iron overload. Earlier experience includes a Doctoral Researcher role at The Lubrizol Corporation, where novel substances for the automotive industry were developed, and tutoring at the University of Warwick's Department of Chemistry. Georgios holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Warwick, as well as an MSc in Polymer Chemistry and a BSc in Chemistry from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon.
