Michael H has a diverse work experience spanning from 2007 to 2021. Michael began their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2007. In 2008, they joined Abbott Vascular Structural Heart (Evalve) as an R&D Design Engineer, Glucose Meter Failure Investigation Engineer, Catheter Production Supervisor, Fermentation Plant Engineer, and R&D Engineer. In 2012, they worked as an Americorps Construction Crew Leader at Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley. From 2013 to 2016, they were a Sr. R&D Engineer and Product Manager at Equalize Health. In 2016, they joined Bridge Design, a Ximedica company, as a Senior Mechanical Engineer. In 2017, they worked as a Senior R&D Engineer at Medtronic. From 2018 to 2020, they were a Director of Engineering and Quality and Principal Engineer at Mercator MedSystems, Inc. In 2020, they worked as a Certified Personal Trainer and Strength Training Coach at American Council on Exercise (ACE Fitness). Currently, they are the Director of R&D at Contego Medical, Inc.
Michael H received their BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign between 2003 and 2007. Michael then went on to receive their MS in Mechanical Engineering from the same university between 2007 and 2008. In addition, Michael H obtained a Certified Personal Fitness Trainer certification from the American Council on Exercise (ACE Fitness) in August 2020.
