Chris began his CSC career in 2020 as Director of Occupational Health and Safety. Chris has been responsible for implementing recommended “Best Practice” procedures to help ensure the health and safety of all CSC employees. Chris lead CSC’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic and guided our employees and clients. From 2017 until the present, Chris has been the Director of EMS and Fire Safety for the Los Dells Latin Music Festival in Mauston, Wisconsin.
Prior to working for CSC, Chris spent 17 years as a first responder in different capacities. In 2002, Chris began working as an EMT for American Medical Response, responding to 911 calls throughout Los Angeles County. In 2004, Chris attended paramedic school at UCLA-Daniel Freeman Paramedic School and completed his field internship with the Los Angeles City Fire Department. After graduating from paramedic school, Chris became a National Registry certified paramedic and began working for Gold Coast Ambulance in Oxnard California. In 2007, Chris was hired by the Ventura Fire Department as a Firefighter/Paramedic and attended an 18-week, multi-disciplinary fire academy at the Ventura County Regional Training Center.
In 2012, after 5 years as a Firefighter/Paramedic, Chris was promoted to Engineer/Paramedic where, in addition to driving the fire engine and pumping water on fires, he was responsible for the development and mentoring of probationary firefighter/paramedics. In 2014, Chris was promoted to Fire Captain and his responsibilities increased to include the management of a fire station, supervision and development of a crew, and managing incidents using the Incident Command System. Throughout his career, Chris attended a number of advanced training courses and was certified in disciplines such as Hazmat Technician, Hazmat Specialist, Fire Cause and Arson Investigator, Fire Death Forensic School, and ICS classes. Chris retired from the Ventura Fire Department in 2020 to join the team at CSC.
