Synopsis of Pertinent Experience: Scott has over twenty-eight (28) years of experience as a civil trial lawyer. Scott’s areas of practice include general liability, general commercial liability, premises liability, and products liability construction matters, and both personal and commercial vehicle liability.

In terms of general liability, Scott has substantial experience in defending private clients, insured clients, and carriers in matters ranging from soft tissue cases to catastrophic injury and death cases. Scott is also frequently called upon to assist in pre and post-litigation tenders, evaluations, and negotiations to achieve the best and most cost-efficient resolution for the client.

As part of the general liability practice, Scott has been defending owners, general contractors, and subcontractors in worksite-related cases ranging from sole proprietors to major commercial and governmental construction projects. As a necessary component of the defense, Scott has acquired a great deal of experience in dealing with the intricate relationships between owners, general contractors, and subcontractors including the interpretation and enforcement of indemnity provisions and insuring agreements.

Scott has been involved in defending clients in large and small venue sporting and concert events including at The Rose Bowl, the Los Angeles Coliseum, the Los Angeles Forum, The Hollywood Bowl, Dodger Stadium, Angel’s Stadium, and The Home Depot Center. As a natural outgrowth of the entertainment venue liability, Scott has assumed the representation of entities such as USC, UCLA, Live Nation, Clear Channel, Bill Silva, Goldenvoice, and SMG.

In terms of public entity work, Scott has represented the City of Pasadena, the Rose Bowl Operating Company, the City of Anaheim, the City of Redondo Beach, the Los Angeles Coliseum Commission, and the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association.

The list of insurance carriers that Scott has worked with includes, among others; Lloyd’s of London, CNA, State Farm, USAA, CIGA, Nationwide, California Insurance Group, Magna Carta (PSM), Business Alliance Insurance, Mercury Insurance, Navigator’s Insurance Company, Scottsdale Insurance Company, TOPA, Great American, KBIC, and Lexington.
