Brian W. Wu, MD, PhD, MNM has a diverse work experience. In 2021, they began their role as the Director of Psychiatric Services at Executive Mental Health, where they are responsible for recruiting and supervising qualified psychiatry and nurse practitioner staff, facilitating program evaluation to identify strengths and areas of improvement for the company, and working closely with the Chief Clinical Officer to facilitate integration of clinical care. In 2020, they became an investor for SeedInvest and Remi. From 2014 to 2020, they held multiple roles at Wolters Kluwer, including Editorial Review Board, Freelance Health Writer, Editor & Reviewer, and Content Writer for Contently. In 2012, they were the Co-Director MD/PhD and Advisor for MedSchoolCoach, and in 2020, they were an intern at Technology Capital Partners. From 2017 to 2018, they were a Psychiatry Resident at LAC-USC MED CENTER, and in 2020, they were a Provost's Postdoctoral Scholar at Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. In 2018, they were the Principal Investigator for the PATIENT CARE TRUST FUND OF THE COMMITTEE OF INTERNS & RESIDENTS, where they initiated a project to implement physician report cards as a QI tool for inpatient care and was awarded a CIR grant.

Brian W. Wu, MD, PhD, MNM has a diverse educational background. In 2004, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology and Neurobiology from the University of Maryland. In 2008, they completed a dual MD/PhD program at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, with a focus in Sports Medicine, Exercise Physiology, and Rehabilitation. In 2021, they completed a Master of Science degree in Narrative Medicine (MNM) from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. In addition, they have obtained three certifications: a Certificate of Completion in the Healthcare Administration Scholars Program (HASP) from LAC+USC Graduate Medical Education in 2021, a Graduate Certificate in Clinical, Biomedical and Translational Investigations from the University of Southern California in 2015, and a Certificate of Completion in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Immersion from INSTITUTE FOR BETTER HEALTH in 2020.
