M.K. Irvine has over 8 years of experience in the field of emergency management. From 2013 to 2014, they worked as a Community Recovery Specialist for the American Red Cross. They then moved on to become the Director of Emergency Management for Sarapis from 2014 to 2016. From 2016 to 2018, they worked for the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, first as an Emergency Response Coordinator and then as an Exercise Coordinator. During this time, they designed and executed the largest healthcare system exercise in NYC history. From 2016 to 2019, they were the Founder and Principal Developer of nobinary, a NYC-based web agency. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Full Stack Engineer for SEER, where they built modern video tools for artists and creators. Currently, they are a Software Engineer II at Contently.
