Deidre Olsen has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. In 2016, they worked as a Customer Success Associate for Venngage, where they managed customer interactions and provided support in English and Spanish. From 2017 to 2018, they were a Digital Marketing Analyst at Dentons, focusing on website maintenance and email marketing campaigns. In 2018, they served as an Editorial Intern at West End Phoenix, contributing to content creation and brand strategy. Deidre then worked as a Content Marketing Specialist at Futureproof Inc., developing compelling content and brand strategies for various startups and brands. In 2019, they were an Editor at Toronto Storeys, overseeing the creation and management of real estate and development content. Deidre Olsen completed a Master of Arts degree in North American Studies at Freie Universität Berlin from 2021 to 2023. Prior to that, from 2018 to 2019, they pursued a Fellowship in Global Journalism at the University of Toronto - Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy.

In 2012, Deidre obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government from The University of British Columbia (UBC). In 2015-2016, they also completed an Award of Achievement Program in Digital Analytics at UBC Sauder School of Business, as well as a Certificate in Web Intelligence at UC Irvine.

Additionally, Deidre attended HackerYou College of Technology in 2016 for a Web Development program. Prior to their university studies, they completed an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Political Science and Government at Kwantlen Polytechnic University from 2009 to 2012.
