Akin Arikan

Director, Product Marketing at ContentSquare

Akin Arikan has extensive work experience in product marketing and management. Akin currently works at ContentSquare as the Director of Product Marketing, where their role is to transform digital teams to drive higher engagement and conversion. Prior to this, they worked at Clicktale as the Director of Product Marketing from 2015 to 2017. From 2014 to 2015, they held the position of Senior Director of Product Marketing at Lyris, which was later acquired by Aurea Software. Akin also worked at IBM as a Senior Product Marketing Manager and Evangelist from 2010 to 2014. Before that, they were the Director of Product Marketing at Unica, which was acquired by IBM. Akin's earlier experience includes working as the Director of Product Management at Sane Solutions, where they were responsible for product management and product marketing of web analytics solutions. Akin also worked at MicroStrategy as a Senior Product Manager, where they successfully released and marketed analytical CRM and web traffic analysis products. Akin's career began with roles as a contractor for Windows software development at Deutsche Telekom, Web Intranet developer at Wind River Systems, and as a business software consultant at Applied Database Technologies.

Akin Arikan pursued a Diplom degree in Computer Science, Business, and Economics from the University of Hamburg and the University of Karlsruhe. Akin attended these institutions from 1989 to 1998. In addition to their formal education, they obtained two additional certifications. In 2009, they completed a program in Pragmatic Marketing offered by Pragmatic Marketing. More recently, in June 2023, they successfully completed an Introduction to Generative AI course from Udacity.
