Karen Chagin

Karen Chagin, MD, is an accomplished medical professional currently serving as Chief Medical Officer at Context Therapeutics since June 2025 and as SVP of Early Stage Development at Adaptimmune since September 2023. Previous roles include Chief Medical Officer and Senior Vice President at Tmunity Therapeutics Incorporated, as well as various positions at Adaptimmune, including VP of Medical and Senior Director of Global Clinical Development. Karen began their career in notable positions at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, GlaxoSmithKline, and as a fellow in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Karen earned an M.D. from the Temple University - Lewis Katz School of Medicine and a B.A. in Biology and Spanish from the University of Pennsylvania.
