Eef Schimmelpennink

Eef Schimmelpennink serves as President and CEO of LENZ Therapeutics, a late-stage clinical company focused on innovative ophthalmic pharmaceutical products. Eef is also a board member at iBio, Inc. and the Chair of the Board of Directors at Pipeline Therapeutics. Previously, Eef held leadership positions at Pfenex Inc., where a successful turnaround led to a significant acquisition, and at Alvotech, overseeing growth and strategy for a portfolio of biosimilar medicines. Prior to these roles, Eef was Vice President at Pfizer and Hospira, with a strong track record in marketing and business development within the pharmaceutical sector. Eef's educational background includes an MSc in Bioprocess Engineering from Wageningen University & Research and management studies from QUT and Business School Arnhem.
