Stepan Karas

Stepan Karas has a diverse work experience in the field of tax. Stepan started their career at Deloitte Czech Republic in 2003, serving as a Tax Director until 2017. Stepan then joined CA Technologies as the EMEA Tax Director from 2017 to 2019. Currently, they are working at ContourGlobal, where they initially served as the Director of Tax Accounting and Compliance from 2019 to 2021. Stepan is currently the Global Head of Tax at ContourGlobal.

Stepan Karas completed their education with a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Taxation from WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) during the period of 2011-2013. Prior to that, they obtained a degree in Public finance (Ing.) from Prague University of Economics and Business between 2000 and 2006. Stepan'seducational journey began at Charles University, where they pursued a degree in Economics, Logic (Mgr.) from 1998 to 2003. Additionally, in May 2007, Stepan Karas obtained a certification from the Czech Chamber of Tax Advisors.
