Wafula David Wanjala

Wafula David Wanjala has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting. Wafula David started their career as an Audit Assistant at Githongo & Co from July 2005 to May 2008. Wafula David then joined PwC and held various roles including Associate from September 2008 to August 2010, Senior Associate from September 2010 to June 2013, and Manager from July 2013 to August 2015. At PwC, they gained expertise in financial reporting, financial modeling, budgeting, and risk assurance. Wafula David also served as the Learning and Education Manager, responsible for staff training and development. In 2015, Wanjala joined ContourGlobal as the CFO for Rwanda until January 2018. Wafula David then took on the role of Ag. CFO for ContourGlobal's African Operations and US Assets from November 2021, focusing on finance and accounting, budgeting, lender covenant compliance, and strengthening the internal control environment. In February 2018, they became the CFO for Africa at ContourGlobal.

Wafula David Wanjala's education history is as follows:

Wafula David attended Mother of Apostles Seminary Eldoret from 1999 to 2002 and obtained their KCSE degree in O Levels.

In 2004, they enrolled at the University of Nairobi and completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting in 2008.

Afterward, Wanjala pursued a CPA (K) degree in Accounting at Strathmore University from 2008 to 2009.

In 2016, they joined ALU School of Business and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General in 2018.

Wanjala then acquired additional certifications, including Leading Across Borders and Cultures from INSEAD Executive Education in October 2019 and became a Certified Public Accountant through the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya in July 2009.

Most recently, they enrolled in the University of Aberdeen in 2021 and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Finance degree, with an anticipated completion date in 2023.
