Tara D. Sanders

Program Manager - Workforce & Economic Development at Contra Costa Community College District

Tara D. Sanders has extensive experience in workforce development and educational partnerships, currently serving as Program Manager for Workforce & Economic Development at Contra Costa Community College District since September 2018. In this role, Tara supports initiatives to cultivate a robust regional talent pipeline and develops strategic employer partnerships. Prior to this, Tara worked at Los Medanos College in several capacities, including Community and Educational Partnership Liaison and Transfer Center Coordinator, focusing on workforce development and student pathways. Tara's earlier experience includes advising first-generation students at California State University, Chico, and leadership roles in residence life. Tara holds a Master of Arts in Social Science from California State University, Chico, and a BA in Sociology and Anthropology from the University of Redlands. Additionally, Tara was crowned Miss Black California USA in 2010, advocating for higher education and foster youth support.
