Sean Maurel

Sean Maurel is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the water industry. Currently serving as a Senior Engineer at the Contra Costa Water District since November 2017, Sean is responsible for overseeing engineering activities related to the planning, design, and construction of water treatment and distribution infrastructure. Prior roles include Associate Engineer and Assistant Engineer at the same organization, focusing on the operational aspects of water systems. Sean's career began as an Environmental Sampling Technician at Blaine Tech Services, followed by a position as an Environmental Engineer at Arcadis. Sean holds a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from UC Irvine and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Geology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
