Xavier Vila Farrés

Xavier Vila Farrés has a diverse work experience in the field of research and science. Xavier is currently working at ContraFect Corp as the Director of Research since January 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the Associate Director of Research from November 2021 to March 2023 and as an Associate Director (Consultant) from May 2021 to November 2021 at the same company.

Before joining ContraFect Corp, Xavier worked at Aelin Therapeutics as a Senior Scientist from September 2020 to May 2021. Xavier also held the position of Project Lead Oncology from July 2020 to May 2021 and Scientist (Chemistry) from June 2018 to September 2020 at Aelin Therapeutics.

Xavier's earlier experience includes working as a Postdoctoral Associate at Rockefeller University from April 2015 to May 2018. Xavier also served as a PhD Student at IRB Barcelona-CRESIB from June 2009 to November 2014 and as a PhD Visitor Student at the University of Queensland from January 2013 to June 2013.

Xavier Vila Farrés attended the Universitat de Barcelona from 2002 to 2008, where they pursued a degree in Chemistry. Additionally, in 2007, they briefly studied Chemistry at the Eindhoven University of Technology.
