Gunnar Sigurðsson

Gunnar Sigurðsson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Gunnar is currently serving as the Director of Systems Architecture at Controlant, where they lead a team of architects and aligns the technical vision with the product strategy. Prior to this role, Gunnar worked as a Systems Architect at Controlant.

Gunnar has also worked at Reykjavik University as a Final Project Instructor, providing guidance to computer science students on their final projects. At Valitor, Gunnar held multiple positions including Development Manager, Acquiring Processing Solutions, Software Engineer, Delivery Manager, and Scrum Master/Product Owner. In these roles, they managed development teams, contributed as a software engineer, oversaw project management, and was responsible for technical architecture and software delivery.

Gunnar has also gained experience as a Research Scientist Intern at Fraunhofer CESE, where they conducted research on cyber attacks. Gunnar worked as a Software Developer at Entrio and VALITOR hf, engaging in web application development, back-end development, and database management. Additionally, they were a Software Developer at When Gone, focusing on web application and database development/design.

Throughout their career, Gunnar has showcased expertise in various technologies such as .NET, C#, ASP.NET MVC, MSSQL, AWS, and Azure.

Gunnar Sigurðsson obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Reykjavik University between 2020 and 2022. Prior to that, they received a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Reykjavik University between 2011 and 2013. Additionally, Gunnar Sigurðsson holds a certification as a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from the Scrum Alliance, although the specific date of certification is unknown.
