Martin Rowland

With over 28 years in mining, Marty’s international experience spans multiple disciplines including equipment operations, management and emergency response, both in unionized and non-unionized environments. He is a graduate of the University of Alberta, is a Canadian Registered Safety Professional, and has extensive knowledge of safety systems, regulatory compliance and incident investigation. A former member of the board of the Alberta Mining Safety Association and the East Central Alberta Fire Training Group, Marty is also a long standing volunteer fire fighter in the communities where he has lived and worked. His outstanding commitment to volunteer fire services has earned him the Alberta Emergency Service Medal from the Government of Alberta and the Fire Services Exemplary Service Medal from the Governor General of Canada.
