David Renta

Global Head Of Hedging at Convera Corporation

David Renta has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. David started their career as a Treasury Services Officer at Regions Bank, where they were responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of an online corporate cash management system. David also led a project to set up the bank's Canadian lockbox operation and sold treasury management products to corporate clients.

In 2000, David joined KeyBank as a Senior Vice President Corporate FX. In this role, they were responsible for growing relationships and acquiring new clients among the bank's corporate and private equity client base. David provided macroeconomic evaluations and analysis to clients, as well as structuring ideas and execution strategies to meet their risk/reward objectives. David also educated clients on hedge accounting compliance.

David then joined Western Union Business Solutions in 2018 as the Global Head of Hedging & Head of US Corporates. In this senior leadership role, they had full oversight and P/L responsibility for the Global Hedging line of business. Additionally, they owned global policies for FX dealing and restructuring activities, represented the hedging line of business on subsidiary boards of directors, and served as a member of the global risk committee.

In 2022, David joined Convera as the Global Head of Hedging.

David Renta obtained their Bachelor of Science in Business and Commerce with a focus in Finance from The University of Alabama between 1993 and 1997. David then pursued a Master of Arts in Banking and Finance with a specialization in Financial Engineering at the same institution from 1997 to 1998. Additionally, David also has a record of studying at the Association of Financial Professionals, although specific details regarding the degree and field of study are not available.
