Sam Fitzpatrick

Sam Fitzpatrick has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Currently, they serve as the Vice President and Global Head of Financial Institutions at Convera since July 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Regional Vice President for APAC at Convera from April 2022 to June 2023.

Before joining Convera, Sam held various positions at Western Union Business Solutions starting as a Senior Corporate FX Dealer from January 2010 to July 2015. Sam then served as the Head of Corporate Desk for VIC from July 2015 to December 2016, followed by the Head of Corporate Sales for Australia from January 2017 to June 2019. Subsequently, they took on the role of Director of Sales - Global Payments for Australia and New Zealand from June 2019 to July 2021. Sam's last role at Western Union Business Solutions was as the Regional Vice President for APAC from January 2021 to March 2022.

Earlier in their career, Sam worked as an FX Dealer at Travelex from October 2007 to January 2010. Sam also had a role as an Associate in Treasury & Global Markets at HSBC Global Banking and Markets from November 2005 to September 2007. Prior to that, they gained experience in corporate finance as part of the Deal Team Support at Macquarie Group from January 2005 to November 2005.

Sam Fitzpatrick has a Master of Science (MSc) degree in International Business from the University of Birmingham, which was obtained from 2003 to 2004. Prior to that, Sam Fitzpatrick earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Geography from Loughborough University, which was obtained from 2000 to 2003. Additionally, Sam Fitzpatrick has certifications in FSA - Regulations and Securities & Derivatives from the Securities & Investments Institute (SII), as well as PS146 from the Australian Securities and Investments Commission.
