Randy Nguyen

Randy Nguyen has a diverse work experience, starting in 2012 with their role as a Database Analyst at COTAnalysis, where they participated in the design and implementation of custom database solutions. Randy then moved on to work as a Desktop Technician at the Pasadena Independent School District, providing support for hardware, software, and computer applications. In 2014, Randy joined Universal Weather and Aviation, Inc., first as a Data Analyst Intern, then as a Database Developer, and finally as a Business Intelligence Developer. During their time there, they were responsible for ETL processes, upgrading Master Data Services and Data Quality Services, and developing reports and ETL packages using various tools. In 2017, Randy joined Accudata Systems, A Converge Company as a Business Intelligence Architect, where they coordinated business requirements, developed BI solutions, and created BI content. Currently, Randy holds the position of Business Intelligence Architect at Converge Technology Solutions Corp, starting in 2021.

Randy Nguyen attended San Jacinto College from 2010 to 2012, where they obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services.

Randy then went on to study at the University of Houston from 2012 to 2014, where they graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Computer Information Systems.

In 2014, Randy enrolled in Big Data University to further their knowledge in Data Modeling/Warehousing and Database Administration. Randy did not complete a specific degree program at this institution.

From 2015 to 2019, Randy pursued studies in Business Intelligence at Microsoft Virtual Academy, without obtaining a degree.

In 2016, they also took a course in Data Warehousing for Business Intelligence at the University of Colorado Denver.

Additionally, Randy obtained several certifications. In 2013, they received the CompTIA A+ certification and the CompTIA Network+ certification. In 2014, they completed the Mobile App Analytics Fundamental certification from Google. In 2016, Randy obtained the Data Warehousing for Business Intelligence Specialization certificate from Coursera Course Certificates. Randy also completed the Java Tutorial For Complete Beginners and Big Data Basics: Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive, Pig, & Spark certifications from Udemy in the same year.
