Jason Brown

Jason Brown, MBA, PMP has over 20 years of work experience in various roles related to information technology and project management. Jason'smost recent position was as a Virtual CIO at Convergence Networks, where they focused on building and maintaining client relationships and providing strategic IT recommendations. Prior to that, they served as the Manager of IT at Nanometrics Seismic Monitoring Solutions, where they were responsible for managing a wide range of information services. Before that, they were the President of Hokuloa Consulting Ltd. and worked as a Project Manager Consultant at TransAlta. Jason also has experience as a Consultant at Hitachi Solutions Canada and as a Project Manager and Manager of Applications and Infrastructure at SMART Technologies. Earlier in their career, they held roles at BRIDGEWERX and Tecskor. Jason holds an MBA and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Jason Brown, MBA, PMP has an extensive education history. Jason obtained their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on Queen's MBA for Business Graduates from Queen's University in 2017. Jason also earned a Certificate in Social Impact (formerly Responsible Leadership) from Queen's University in the same year. In 2013, Jason received a Certificate in Project Management Extension from Mount Royal University. Previously, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Bachelor of Commerce, Management of Information Systems from the University of Calgary in 2000. Jason also holds a Diploma in Object Oriented Software Technology from the University of Calgary, which they achieved in 1999. Furthermore, Jason earned a Bachelor's Degree in Bachelor of Science, Civil Engineering from the University of Calgary in 1997.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Jason has obtained several certifications. Jason completed Leadership Training For Managers from Dale Carnegie Training in 2014. In 2012, they obtained the Prosci Change Management Certification from AdPro Change Systems Inc. In 2010, Jason achieved the ITIL V3 Foundations Certification from Loyalist Certification Services.
