Frank has had a distinguished career in asset management and wealth management. As Chairman of Blackrock’s US Wealth Advisory Business, Frank grew assets under management from $250B to $1T.

Frank Porcelli, recently retired Chairman of [BlackRock](/org/blackrock)’s US Wealth Advisory business, has had a distinguished 30+ year career in asset management and wealth management. Frank is widely known through the industry as an exceptional leader with an open and collaborative leadership style. He has an extensive network of contacts throughout the industry and has access to virtually all organizational levels within nearly every major firm.

Frank recently retired from [BlackRock](/org/blackrock) after 14 years, and remains as a senior advisor to the firm, serving as a member of the board of iCapital, an alternative investmentfocused turnkey asset management program in which [BlackRock](/org/blackrock) has been an investor since 2015. Porcelli joined [BlackRock](/org/blackrock) through its acquisition of Merrill Lynch’s investment management division in 2006. Under Frank’s leadership, [BlackRock](/org/blackrock)’s US wealth advisory business grew from $250 billion to nearly $1 trillion in assets under management. As the head of US Wealth Advisory, he had been responsible for integrating iShares with active coverage, creating the independent channel and shifting [BlackRock](/org/blackrock)’s strategic focus from product sales to portfolio construction. More recently as the chairman of US Wealth Advisory, Frank primarily focused on the firm’s digital wealth business, bringing Aladdin wealthtech products to the US markets, developing and distributing [BlackRock](/org/blackrock)’s retirement platform iRetire, as well as serving as an advisor to and board member of iCapital. Prior to joining [BlackRock](/org/blackrock), Porcelli served as the managing director of institutional sales and consultant relations at [Putnam Investments](/org/putnam-investments) for six years and director of corporate asset management services at [Goldman Sachs](/org/goldman-sachs) for three years. Previously, he held various roles at Smith Barney, including director of retirement services, head of unit investment trusts, chief operating officer of Smith Barney Mutual Funds and manager of strategic planning.

Frank Porcelli

Jeff has had a dynamic career as an operator and growth driver across the financial services ecosystem, both domestically and internationally, and has had executive roles in Asset Management, Wealth Management, Consulting, and Fintech.

Jeff has had 30-year career spanning law, wealth management, asset management, consulting, outsourcing, and wealth tech. His career started in the mid-80s as lawyer in Washington DC, where he specialized in ERISA fiduciary responsibility. Jeff left the law and joined wealth management firm Shearson Lehman Hutton, where he became Head of Retirement Plan Services and part of the firm’s Consulting Services Group. Jeff was part of the team that launched the industry’s first wrap fee mutual fund program, and was responsible for the industry’s first advisory service for 401k plan participants.

Jeff joined Putnam investments in the mid-90s where he launched its 401k business for Advisors and its variable annuity and sub-advisory businesses, ultimately driving Putnam to become the industry leader at that time in both advisor-sold 401k and variable annuity asset management. Jeff was then reassigned to London where he ran Putnam’s business in Europe for 3 years, establishing and growing several successful joint ventures in Italy, France and other countries. Returning to Boston, Jeff was recruited by PE investors to turn-around and sell a troubled fintech firm that they owned. He then joined Mercer as President of its Global Outsourcing business, President of Mercer Trust, and Executive Committee member, driving the business unit from $450M in revenues to nearly $900M while in this role.

Following that, Jeff joined UBS as the head of Advice and Platforms, which included all fee- based products and tech, mutual funds, ETFs, financial planning, discretionary model management, manager research, and retirement accounts. Among other things, in this role Jeff worked with BlackRock to create the industry’s first implementation of Aladdin for Wealth Managers. After leaving UBS, Jeff worked on a number of early stage wealthtech firms as an investor, board member, and operator, including Capital Preferences and Truelytics. Jeff also joined the board of SharesPost, the leading marketplace for private share transactions, and later joined as President and COO. In that capacity he was the impetus behind the recently announced merger with Forge Global and will remain as both an advisor and shareholder of the combined company.

Jim has been with The Clark Estates, Inc. since 2020 where he is currently Senior Vice President and Director. The Clark Estates manages the business and financial affairs of the Clark family, co-founders of I.M. Singer & Company in 1850 (Singer sewing machine).

Prior to joining The Clark Estates, Inc. Jim Patrick was Group President of [Envestnet](/org/envestnet)|PMC based in Chicago (Ticker ENV) responsible for the suite of fiduciary solutions offered through the PMC division. Prior to [Envestnet](/org/envestnet) Jim was the Co-Head of U.S. distribution for Allianz Global Investors and affiliated firms, including [PIMCO](/org/pimco), having joined Nicholas Applegate in 1997.  

Patrick received a B.S. in Business Administration from the [University of New Hampshire](/org/university-of-new-hampshire).  Mr. Patrick is married (1995) with three children, and serves as a volunteer Sugarloaf Ski Patrol.

Jim Patrick

Eric has been an investor for 25 years leading teams that have allocated billions of dollars to asset managers. He has been at the forefront of investment technology, building extensive due diligence platforms.

During his two decade plus career he has reviewed thousands of strategies across all asset classes. A primary focus throughout Eric’s career has been identifying early-stage investment talent and building a business around them.  Eric was the first institutional capital into a number of highly successful multi-billion dollar teams. He has played an instrumental role in business development and capital raising particularly at the manager’s early lifecycle.  Eric has a professional and personal passion for technology and built manager due diligence analytical tools used at his prior firms. He also founded an online marketplace in 2000 and advises technology-oriented venture capital firms including Cambium Capital.

Most recently, for the last eight years Eric was a partner with [Stride](/org/stridelearning) Capital, a seeding firm based in Stamford CT where he was responsible for identifying and taking strategic stakes in early-stage asset managers.  Prior to joining [Stride](/org/stridelearning), Eric spent seven years as Senior Portfolio Manager and leader of the small cap equity team at SEI, responsible for directing $5 billion in investments to 25 external managers.  Eric was also a rotating member of SEI’s firmwide investment committee, which oversaw over $100 billion of invested capital.  Prior to SEI, Eric spent five years at [Goldman Sachs](/org/goldman-sachs) where he was a Vice President responsible for over $10 billion invested in non-U.S. and global equity managers. Eric began his investment career in the asset allocation team at SEI.

Eric graduated magna cum laude from [Lehigh University](/org/lehigh-university) and is a CFA Charterholder. He lives in Ridgefield, Connecticut with his wife and two children.

Eric Hoerdemann

Her Brand Development Playbook has become an essential focus for B2B portfolio companies’ growth strategy. Today the firm is one of the first calls a private equity’s value creation team will make as they work to maximize their investments’ enterprise value. Whether it’s a merger, acquisition, roll-up or corporate carve-out, Brenna is an expert in defining what makes companies different and building a clear, concise and unified story that will position the investment for near-term growth, and ultimately a successful exit.

As a practitioner, Brenna has been instrumental in collaborating with senior executives to reshape, re-position and deploy existing brands as well as invent, position, and create new ones. Today she leads her talented team in working with both game-changing mid-market companies and leading enterprises, such as [Accenture](/org/accenture), [DXC Technology](/org/dxctechnology), [Genpact](/org/genpact), Hewitt, and Mercer. She also continues to cultivate the firm’s private equity ecosystem which includes firms like [Accretive LLC](/org/accretive-llc), Altaris Capital, Baird Capital, Carrick Capital Partners, [Frontier Growth](/org/frontier-growth), General Atlantic Partners, Health Enterprise Partners, LLR, [Marlin Equity Partners](/org/marlin-equity), Pritzker Group, [Summit Partners](/org/summit-partners) and [Warburg Pincus](/org/warburg-pincus).

With a love of travel, Brenna and her husband split their time between NYC and South Florida. They are also avid sailors traversing the US East Coast, Bahamas, and Caribbean on their beloved boat “Dazzle”.

Dave has assembled over 25 years of wealth management industry experience in leadership roles at both RIAs and larger institutions. His passion has been to drive growth through an unrivaled focus on the client, a dedication to the development and evolution of advisors and staff, and a commitment to taking advantage of technology and innovation to improve everyone’s experience. His belief in establishing a strong culture and brand supporting these principles has been paramount to the success of the organizations he has led.

Most recently, Dave was President of Lenox Wealth Advisors (LWA), leading a talented team of professionals in the development and execution of an innovative client-focused strategy across financial planning, investments, business development, relationship management and operations resulting in 4X organic AUM growth in under five years. He was also responsible for leading an aggressive inorganic growth plan with deep support from LWA’s parent company, NFP. Prior to this role, Dave ran the Private Wealth Management business for Lenox Advisors, which was integrated into LWA in 2018 under his leadership.

Before joining Lenox, he was Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Wealth Management Solutions at UBS, where he also served on the firm’s Management Committee. And prior to that, he was Managing Director and Head of the Institutional Client Segment at [Morgan Stanley](/org/morgan-stanley) where he also served on the Management Committee. Dave came to [Morgan Stanley](/org/morgan-stanley) through a merger after 16 years at [Citigroup](/org/citigroup) where he led Global Wealth Management’s institutional and corporate business lines generating over $650 million in annual revenue. Early in his career at Citi, he led efforts to develop and deploy industry-leading web-based platforms used by over 6 million clients. Prior to Citi, Dave held roles in M&A and management consulting.

Dave holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Wharton School and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania. He lives in Riverside, Connecticut with his wife and two children.

Dave Schrohe

Martin brings more than 36 years of financial services and investment industry experience to Convergency Partners.

From 2012 through 2015, Martin was the Head of Retail iShares U.S. with [BlackRock](/org/blackrock), the largest asset management firm in the world with $6.3 trillion under management. Martin’s primary responsibility with [BlackRock](/org/blackrock) was leading the iShares distribution team across all domestic retail channels. Previous to joining [BlackRock](/org/blackrock), Martin was Vice Chairman and Head of Global Distribution with [MFS Investment Management](/org/mfs-investment-manageme), the ~$450 billion Boston-based investment management firm. Martin earned his bachelor’s degree from [Santa Clara University](/org/santa-clara-university).

Martin serves as a board member with [CircleBlack](/org/circleblack), an online financial data aggregation and empowerment platform for financial advisors, as well as an advisory board member of [Vestigo Ventures](/org/vestigo-ventures), a venture capital firm headquartered in Cambridge, MA, which focuses its investments on early stage financial technology companies.

Tom has over 25 years of broad leadership experience across asset management, fintech, and consulting. He has a long track record of driving growth and profitability through market-focused strategy development and execution, and a strong reputation as a trusted strategic and financial advisor.

Robert Dechellis is an advisory board member at [Convergency Partners](/org/convergency-partners). Robert was previously the president of Lenox Wealth Advisors from May 2013 to April 2019, and the executive vice president from May 2013 to March 2018. Before that, they were the managing director, chief operating officer, and head of global corporate client group at [Morgan Stanley](/org/morgan-stanley) from June 2009 to June 2010.

Robert Dechellis has an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School and a BA in Economics from the [University of Pennsylvania](/org/university-of-pennsylvania). Robert is also certified by FINRA in Series 7.

Bo Lu co-founded and served as CEO of FutureAdvisor, an industry leader in digital wealth management.

In 2015, BlackRock acquired FutureAdvisor, and Bo ran it as a business unit within BlackRock Solutions (BRS) for an additional four years.

Bo was recognized as a Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum in 2015 at Davos. Prior to co-founding FutureAdvisor Bo worked at Microsoft as a Product Manager, and from that work holds two patents in using social signals to optimize mobile computing. Bo majored in Computer Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, graduating with Highest Honors. As an undergraduate, Bo co-authored two papers in peer-reviewed academic publications in the field of human-computer interaction.

Today Bo serves as COO of a new early stage startup in healthcare, Clipboard Health.
