Imelda Ishiekwene

Imelda Ishiekwene currently serves as Design Chair and has held multiple design roles at Convergent since September 2022, where notable achievements include winning Best Design for the app ‘Surplus’ at Demo Day 2022. Previous experience includes internships and fellowships at Slack and Uber, lead instruction in STEM education at iCode School Franchise, and web design at EchoKids, Inc., focusing on user experience and data analysis. Imelda has also contributed to computational biology research at The University of Texas at Austin, developing predictive models using machine learning, and enhanced user engagement as a UI/UX Designer Co-Op at ShoMe. Education includes a Bachelor of Science and Arts in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin, expected in May 2026, following a high school diploma from Cypress Springs High School in May 2022.
