Theo Akpinar is an accomplished professional with a background in computational neuroscience and a diverse range of experience in education and research. Currently serving as a Rotation Analyst at Convergent Energy and Power since June 2023, Theo previously worked at Brown University as a Teaching Assistant for various courses, including Computational Methods for Mind, Brain, and Behavior and Machine Learning. Additional teaching experience includes a position at Synthesis and a role as a Coding Instructor at iD Tech Camps. A Neuroscience Research Intern at BrainCo, Theo contributed to research on the effects of Qigong on cancer survivors during an Undergraduate Teaching and Research Award (UTRA) project at Brown University. Theo holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computational Neuroscience from Brown University and graduated from Walt Whitman High School.
