Billy Phitakoun

Billy Phitakoun has a diverse range of work experience spanning different industries. Billy began their career at Bank of America as a Convenience Ambassador Intern, where they directed clients and educated them on banking services. Billy then interned at Yahoo as a Customer Experience Intern, providing technical support and ensuring account security. Billy later worked at Mattel, Inc. as an IT Business Analyst Intern, contributing to project management and improving business processes.

Moving on, Billy joined the University at Buffalo, first as a Governors Complex Area Office Student Assistant, providing customer service and handling administrative tasks. Billy then served as a Summer Resident Advisor, supervising a floor of summer school and foreign exchange students. Billy also worked as an Academic Assistant, supporting university students with tutoring and resources. Additionally, they served as a UBIT Help Center Consultant, assisting with various technology services and producing documentation for user issue resolutions.

Following their time at the University at Buffalo, Billy joined Duke Energy Corporation as an IT Associate I, supporting virtual desktop and application infrastructure and ensuring optimal performance. Billy later advanced to the role of IT Application Analyst, where they administered Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop farms and implemented automation solutions.

Currently, Billy is working at Conversant Group as a Managed Services End User Engineer. In this role, they serve as a Citrix Engineer for multiple clients from various industries, deploying end user infrastructure and designing Citrix Cloud environments.

Billy Phitakoun completed their high school education at Phillip O. Berry Academy of Technology from 2008 to 2012, earning a High School Diploma with a focus on Information Technology. Billy then attended the University at Buffalo from 2012 to 2016 and obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Management Information Systems, with a general field of study.
