Isa Adney

Storyteller at ConvertKit

Isa Adney is a storyteller who currently works for ConvertKit. Isa has also worked as a sales lead, consultant, TV writer and host, author, and student life coordinator.

Isa started their career in 2009 as a student life coordinator at Seminole State College of Florida. In this role, they were responsible for coordinating activities and events for students.

In 2012, Isa began working as a consultant for Pearson. In this role, they developed the highly successful One Professor Campaign for Pearson Students. Isa also began working as a TV writer and host for TCC22 in 2012.

In 2014, Isa became an author when they published their first book with NorLights Press. That same year, they left Pearson to pursue writing full-time.

Isa has been freelancing since 2014 and specializes in profile features. In 2016, they began working as a sales lead for Orangetheory Fitness. In this role, they curated human interest stories and wrote client and coach success stories for the weekly newsletter. Isa also developed and managed the software onboarding process and led onboarding and sales training for new hires.

Isa left Orangetheory Fitness in 2017 to join ConvertKit as a storyteller. In this role, they use their skills as a writer to create engaging content that helps ConvertKit customers connect with their audience.

Isa Adney is an MFA Candidate in Writing at Vermont College of Fine Arts. Isa specializes in creative nonfiction and documentary filmmaking. Isa also has a Creative Non-Fiction degree from Stanford University, and they are a Closing the Achievement Gap Institute Fellow from Harvard University Graduate School of Education. Additionally, Isa has an M.Ed in Human Resources Development/Training & Development from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications Studies from Stetson University. Finally, Isa has an Associate of Arts in English from Seminole State College of Florida.
